Keynote (20') – Fabien Pinckaers, CEO OpenERP SA
A short opening by Fabien Pinckaers, Chief Executive Officer of OpenERP sa, will start these 2
community days. He will summarize in a few words OpenERP's vision and the goals of this
Community meeting.
The new features of OpenERP v6.0 (2:30) – Fabien Pinckaers, CEO
OpenERP v6.0 is well on its way, with new features for Human Resources management, project
management, CRM, multi-company setups, Document Management System, point of sales, ...
We will present you in details these features and the new user interface.
R&D Strategy for the future (30') – Antony Lesuisse, CTO
Thanks to the fund raising of 3 millions euros in February 2010, we have been introducing a lot of
changes in OpenERP sa. We have reorganized our teams for R&D and for Editor services such as
maintenance, support and the SaaS offer. We are also improving our methodology (SCRUM
project management, organization of the community on launchpad, ...)
Technical improvements in OpenERP v6.0 (2:00) - Antony Lesuisse, CTO
OpenERP framework v6.0 has been reviewed and improved for a more robust and faster
development experience. Our aim is to present the innovations of OpenERP v6.0 : client-side
modules on the web client to extend the user interface without limits, new diagram and search
views, improved automated tests, YAML data format, integration of reporting engines, new
communication mode, customizable services, and so on...
Community contributions (3:00)
This part of the agenda will consist of a series of short talks by invited Community contributors
and OpenERP employees about new contributions or specific technology highlights [prospective list]

We will end this eventful day of work with a diner all together, which will be a good occasion to
increase knowledge between community members.
24th of march
The whole day, from 9 am to 6 pm, will be dedicated to workshops. We will form small groups
on different topics. These groups will be animated by an OpenERP s.a. project manager and by an
OpenERP partner. The goal of these workshops is to refine ideas and write detailed specifications
to be integrated by the community or by OpenERP s.a.
Registration is required for each workshop session and we strongly advice a basic knowledge and
advance preparation of the selected topic.
Hereafter are the proposed workshop topics :
Useability improvements of v6.0 – Julien Thewys, Aline Preillon
This workshop is dedicated to a functional review of the new OpenERP version. The objective is
to test and improve the user interface, to develop test scenarios and to review the different
modules and client interfaces.
Community, Partners & OpenERP collaboration - Fabien Pinckaers
This group will review the community contribution processes to propose improvements in order
to increase our productivity. We will discuss development processes (release cycles, merge
proposals, wish-lists, ...) as well as translations, tests and documentations.
Merge proposals - Xavier Morel , Olivier Dony
This technical workshop will review LaunchPad merge proposals, in order to approve/disapprove
them, and possibly merge them directly.
This workshop will also review and prioritize the current Launchpad « bugs » and « whishlist ».
Participants to this session should prepare and publish their merge proposals and bug reports
before the session.
Accounting & Finance – Quentin De Paoli, Marc Laporte
This group will discuss the financial reporting, the reconciliation processes, the useability of
financial modules and their localization, as well as multi-company support.
Services Management – Antony Lesuisse
This session will cover possible functional and useability improvements to the new v.6.0 series of
CRM and project management related modules for Services companies.
Manufacturing - Phuong Luu, François Pietquin, BHC Consulting
This group will perform a global review of manufacturing features to improve the functional
coverage. The session will also focus the useability of production order views, new functionalities
such as partial production and scrap management, better traceability, etc.
Report Engine Improvements - Michaël Dubois, Camptocamp
The goal of this workshop is to analyze and improve the reporting engine performance, integrate
openoffice reports and to administrate the report through the interface.
This group will review the main changes that have been done in the Tryton fork and identify the
best candidates for backporting into OpenERP. We will later dedicate a developer team to merge
the selected codes or features. Participants are expected to prepare this topic in advance.

25th of march
This day is limited to partners only. We plan to have an open discussion about the market,
customers, sales strategies, etc. The morning is dedicated to a presentation of all innovations
introduced in OpenERP sa, while the afternoon will have discussions on various topics, as listed

Impact of OpenERP sa's fund raising – Fabien Pinckaers, CEO
Our 3 million EUR fund raising of February 2010 allowed us to review our business model and
strategy to focus on quality and services to partners. We will discuss our 2010/2011 budget and
how we plan to invest to improve the OpenERP software and our partner network.
The 2010 new partner program and services – Fabien Pinckaers, CEO
We worked on a new partner program to be proposed to all our partners. We will present this new
partner program during this partner meeting of the 25th of march. All services have been
reviewed, including the lead generation program, the maintenance contract and the modules
quality certifications.
Our Action Plan for 2010 – Marc Laporte, COO
As we plan to improve a lot of things during the next months, we will present our action plan and
goals for the coming year.
The SaaS offer
The Odoo platform and the business plan for the next 3 years will be presented to our partners
during this meeting.
Implementation Methodology – Fabien Pinckaers + Camptocamp
In order to continuously improve the success rate of OpenERP's implementation, we defined a
complete implementation methodology. This methodology will be discussed during this session.
We also defined a Memento that details this methodology as well as templates of documents to be
used in the project (contracts, planning, sample of specifications, sales material, etc.).
Camptocamp will also have a methodology to propose and discuss.
eLearning and training partners – Nora Marcon, Sales
We plan to release an eLearning platform that includes new OpenERP training material. The first
courses are ready on the platform. We plan to present this eLearning platform during the partner
meeting. We will also discuss our plans for official training partnerships.
Improving the partner network, Fabien Pinckaers & Marc Laporte
This is an open discussion on how to improve the partner network.
